In 2009 formed a group of active Muslim women a new national community called Aktionsbündnis Muslimischer Frauen in Deutschland (Coalition of Muslim Women in Germany). Our primary goal is to unify Muslim women from all over Germany, who are either organised in an Islamic organisation or not organised. Our future goals are to encourage empowerment of Muslim women as well as to show and support them to be a part of the German society. Our matter is to give these women a voice, which should be heard in Germany. Therefore, we try to connect e.g. with relevant politicans and other organisations.
The coalition supports especially participation, gender equity, self-determination of women and their equal opportunities in all areas of their life.
Futhermore, the coalition is an association of Muslim women of different national origin, ethnicity and religious expression, which also finds an expression in different everyday practices.

The coalition wants to be connected with their sisters all over the world. Especially we look further to follow the international discourse which we want to introduce to our sisters in Germany.
